Rõuge Municipality is located in Võru County, in southern Estonia. Rõuge is known for its beautiful and pristine nature. The municipality is home to several well-known attractions, such as Suur Munamägi in the Haanja Highlands and Estonia’s deepest lake, Suurjärv.

Before the administrative reform in 2017, Rõuge Municipality consisted of five separate municipalities: Mõniste, Varstu, Rõuge, Haanja, and Misso. The main goal of Rõuge Municipality’s visual identity was to unify and strengthen its image, highlight its unique characteristics, increase its visibility, and ensure that the final identity would be consistent and easy to use.

Rõuge Municipality’s visual identity was created in 2024 as my graduation project. The work received recognition and a scholarship from the Council of Rectors of Applied Higher Education Institutions for outstanding theses.
